Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Prognosis Can Be Made From The MRI Report Stating Heterogeneous Appearance Of The Bone Marrow?
My Hip MRI reports states Heterogenous appearance of the bone marrow is seen probably related to red marror hyperplasia and chronic anemia. Less likely but important consideration would include marrow infiltrative process such as myelofibrosis. What does this mean?
The heterogeneous appearance of bone marrow does not conclusively indicate anything. It can happen due to many causes that can be confirmed only after FNAC.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
