Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The description suggestive of either telangiectasia or hemangioma. They are benign (non cancerous) and nothing much to worry as it can be cured completely. Most of the cases surgery is not required and only constant follow-up is required. If there is any rapid increase in size we will go for surgery. I don't know the indication to do a colonoscopy in this case and might be to look for a similar lesion in the bowel. Consult a gastro surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
