What Questions Should Be Asked To A GP Before Taking High Dosage Of Vitamin D3?

I am a 77 yr od female, diabetic, sjogren, osteoarthritis, highblood pressure and quadruple bypass patient with newly diagnosed osteopenia. My MD wants to increase my vit. D3 from 2000 units to 5000. This seems quite a large jump. Any suggestions as to questions I should discuss with my GP?

You can consult your physician in case that you feel side effects of the hypercalcemia such as:
-feeling sick or being sick
-poor appetite or loss of appetite
-feeling very thirsty
-passing urine often
-constipation or diarrhea
-abdominal pain
-muscle weakness or pain

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
