What Relieves The Pain From The Strained Muscle Of The Back?

I was at work today and picked up a bus tub full of dishes and I didn't pick it up right. I picked it up using my back instead of bending at the knees. When I did this I felt a cracking in the bottom part of my back. And now it hurts really bad. I don't know if I pulled a muscle, strained it or it might be a pinched nerve. What do you think this. What can I do for the pain. Should I use an ice pack or put heat on it...

Hi and welcome to HCM,

This could be due to muscle spasm. It is not due to pinched nerve. Apply muscle relaxants like Relaxyl and you can take some pain reliever like Voveran 50 mg and Ranitidine 150 mg twice daily for three days. Apply heat.

Wish you speedy recovery

Thanks
