What Relieves The Throat Pain And The Feeling Of Burping?
The right side of my throat hurts, and sorta feels like something is stuck. It does not hurt when I swallow, nor has it affected my breathing. Should I be concerned? I also sometimes feel like I have to burp, it does not make the feeling go away - still feels stuck.

Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Praveen G's Response
Hello, Welcome to HCM, There a number of different causes of the sensation of a lump stuck in your throat. Most common causes are 1.Chronic sinusdrainage or nasal allergies will often cause dripping of mucus down the back of the throat and can feel like a "lump" in the back of the throat. 2.Inflammation of the tonsils can cause this sensation. 3.Heartburn or acid reflux. I do suggest that you go to see your doctor to talk about this issue and your doctor can perform a complete examination and help you figure out what might be going on. Thank you.
