Hello,

Get clinically examined by an ENT. Get required tests and investigations done like laboratory test and culture of the ear discharge. Get tympanometry, audiology and tuning fork tests done. Your treatment will depend on the diagnosis made. You will be given conservative treatment or recommended ear patch or surgery (tympanoplasty). In the meantime do not swim, avoid swimming pools and whole taking a bath or shower, be careful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
