Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Should I Do About Intermittent Knee Pain Long After An Injury In The Knee That Was Caused By A Painful Popping Sound?
My I fell in June. My right knee made an audible pop and there was only pain when it popped. The pain went away. It’s now like an achy pain but not consistent. I have been taking Tylenol or ibuprofen and that helps and then heat and cold compresses and stretches.
I recommend consulting with an orthopedic surgeon for a physical exam. Performing a knee MRI may be needed in order to exclude possible injury of the soft tissues in the joint.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
