Hello,
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist. People suffering from PCOS have low level of estrogen secretion that causes irregular release of eggs and hence leads to infertility problems. Left untreated it will cause very low chance of conception. Get pelvic examination, blood tests,
ultrasound done.
Blood glucose,
triglyceride,
cholesterol, and blood pressure, will be tested in case of depression. Also, screening for anxiety and depression is done. Progestin treatment will be provided if needed. It will be with birth control pills,
clomiphene citrate, etc.
Your treatment will depend on the pathology diagnosed. Your partner will also be screened before starting
infertility treatment. In the meantime, avoid smoking, alcohol, drugs, etc. Take quality sleep at night. Take home-made balanced food rich in iron, minerals and protein. If obese, do regular walking.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
