What Should I Do About Recurrent Nose Bleeds After Beginning Misoprostol Due To A Miscarriage?

I had a missed miscarriage that it has to be induce. My doctor prescribed misoprostol vaginal route. And since then I always have a nosebleed I thought it’s just during the winter but it lasted for 8 months now. I can’t have my head and sinus CT scan because I’m pregnant again. It took 7 months to get an appointment. What should I do?

Hello,

The nose bleeding is not related to Misoprostol. I recommend consulting with an ENT specialist for a physical exam, performing complete blood count, coagulation tests, liver function tests. It may be an anatomical problem. Anyway, it doesn't seem to be anything serious. The most important thing is checking your blood pressure value, because high blood pressure may lead to this situation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
