hello. i am currently on reclipsen birth control. i've been on it for about 9 months now and this past month i got what i think is my period a week before I should have gotten it. It was dark brown and mostly clumpy, nothing like my normal periods. what is wrong?
After stopping hormonal birth control, most women will have withdrawal bleeding within two to four weeks. After this withdrawal bleeding, your natural menstrual period should come back itself the following month.
Initial bleeding could be spotting or brownish discharge. It will normalise in the subsequent cycles since the body needs to adjust to the new hormone levels. Do not worry.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
