What Should TSH Level During Pregnancy Be, After Having Experienced A Miscarriage Previously?
Hi. I am 5 weeks pregnant & my TSH level was 5.9. I had a miscarriage last year & that time also in the beginning my TSH levels were fine but increased by 2nd month of pregnancy. Can you please advise if this level of 5.9 is fine or do i need to take any medication?

Hello, Welcome to HCM
In pregnancyTSH level of 5.9 is considered normal only because demands will be increased due to growing fetus.Repeat the tests after 3 weeks,if levels are increasing constantly then you need to take levothyroxine after consulting your gynecologist.
As of now.no need of any treatment.Take adequate amount of iodine in the diet and avoid foods containing goitrogens.
Hope i have answered your query. Thank you
