What Should Be Done For Chest Pain Caused By Popcorn Stuck In?

My 7 year old daughter says her chest hurts because a piece of popcorn is stuck. I'm concerned that she inhaled it although she did not cough when it happened. She says she can breathe ok but her chest hurts especially when I asked her to cough. I don't know if I should take her to the ER now or wait until morning to see how she is and maybe see her doctor tomorrow.

i think you should take her to emergency department urgently. the respiratory passage of a child is narrow. It may not be stuck at a critical place yet, but may happen during the later hours with breathing movements and cough.

it may turn out to be a completely false alarm. but as the old saying goes- better safe than sorry. so please get to an emergency immediately

best of luck
