What Should Be Done For Swelling In Ear And Face After Popping Pimple?

I tried to pop a pimple in my ear and now it s swollen and the right side of my face is swollen. (The pimple is in my right ear) I put antibiotic ointment on it but my face is still swollen. What should I do? The ear that has the pimple has also had trouble hearing from it since I have had it for about a week now.

Hello,
Thank you for the post on HCM.
Your history regarding having a pimple in the right ear followed by the swelling in the face and reduced hearing is noted.
You had pimple in the ear, most of the time pimple in the external ear causes severe pain, you cannot touch the affected ear because of that only you are having pain in right side of the face as it shares common nerve supply.Your hearing is reduced because of the infection which leads to swelling of the External auditory canal.
Nothing to worry the symptoms will come down if you take
1.Oral Antibiotics for 5 days
2. Oral Analgesics and Antipyretics.
