What Should Be Done For The Swollen Testicles And Penis And Redness Of A 2 Year Old Child?

2 year old swollen testicles and penis and very red. Swollen 3 times the size. Comes and goes once a month but this time is the worse. Day care just called and said we need to take him To ER. My Peditrcian doesn't seem to be concerned, first DR said it was due to ear infections, then next time was due to he just got shots. He now has low grade fever come and goes. What should I do? Go to ER and what type of test should I request from ER if I do take him?

well you should go to ER.Apply ice packs to the scrotum for the first 24 hours, followed by sitz baths to decrease swelling.it will help.
there are various causes for it.so it has to be properly examined and investigated.
urethral swab, urine R/E and mumps IgM/IgG serology should be checked.
