What Should Be The Distance Between The Eyes Of A 1 Month Old?

I have a new grandson who is one month old. My sister has looked at pictures of him and thinks his eyes are too far apart and that this could be a sign of a problem. He just returned from his checkup to day and my daughter called to tell me that the doctor said he is perfect. Is there a certain distance between eyes that would raise an alarm flag and wouldn t the pediatrician have told my daughter that? Thank you!

Pediatrician 's  Response
As a gross rule the distance between two eyes is less than the size of one eye. but there are exceptions and variations ,all within normal babies.
Next time you visit your pediatrician express your concern, one shall detect any problem if it's there. Also see if eyes are having a slant or are completely horizontal.
