What Should Be The Dosage Of Glimy M2 For Diabetes Type 2 Patient?

My mother has diabetes mellitus type 2. She has been prescribed tablet Glavus 50 mg 1 OD before dinner, Reclide 40 mg 1 OD before dinner, Glimy M2 1 OD before breakfast. She also takes Telma AM 1 OD before breakfast. Last week, her blood sugar about 2 hrs after breakfast was high (311 mg/dl). She believes that it continues to be high with her current dosage. What would you recommend?

She increased the dosage to 2 tabs - 1 before breakfast (around 9:30 am) and one before lunch (1:30 pm). Is it safe for her to increase the dosage of Glimy M2? How should she increase her dosage?

Hello,
Yes the doses of medication must be increased.
You can increase the dose of reclide from 40 to 80 mg and give it at lunch time.
Increase the dose of glimy 2 from once to twice a day.One at breakfast and other at dinner.
See the response with this.Your may repeatedly require monitoring of doses and may be adding some other drug like VOGLIBOSE .
Sonce it is very difficult to treat you online,you must consult a diabetologist and get managed properly.
