Hello,

If the boils are on the scrotum and are not painful, it can be due to bacterial (staphylococcus aureus) infection or ingrown hairs. He is advised to maintain good hygiene, avoid wearing tight clothing, be careful while shaving or waxing as it causes skin irritation & leads to boils.

Warm compression, applying Soframycin or Betnovate C ointment on the affected area can be helpful. However, enlarging boils inside the scrotum that are not painful can be concerning. It can be indicative of hydrocele, varicocele, lipoma or epidermal cyst. He is advised to get clinically examined by a GP or a Urologist. His treatment either by medicines or surgery will depend on the pathology detected. He will have to get done blood tests and STD tests before any surgical intervention.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
