What Should I Do After Hot Oil Getting Into Eye?

Hi, I was helping my wife cook bacon. The oil popped as I was turning a piece and the hot oil got me directly in the eye. Luckily I was looking to the right a bit so it got me on the sclera only. What should I do from here? I've kept a cold compress on it. Not ice, but a cold wet towel.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that hot oil fell into your eyes. This requires immediate treatment in the form of eye wash to remove the oil.
The next treatment depends on the damage caused and you can use antibiotic eye drop if there no visual problems. If the vision is affected this requires evaluation by ophthalmologist and treatment accordingly.

Thank you.
