What Should I Do As Got Scrape And Tiny Blood Clots In Throat?
My 4 year old fell with his toothbrush & hit the back of his throat. He seems completely normal & I did look back in his throat, I could see a scrape & tiny bit of blood. Do I need to be worried? What would the signs be if he put a hole in the artery?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it seems that due to hitting of the throat with a toothbrush there has been laceration of the mucosa over the throat leading to slight bleeding.. If your son is behaving normal then it does not apparently looks like any popped artery or any deep injury..
As of now do not worry as there seems nothing serious, there can be slight pain at the laceration sight for which you can give him Ibuprofen. Feed him with a cool and soft diet to prevent irritation at the injury site..
If at all you notice bleeding again then consultation with a Paediatrician should be done for a clinical evaluation..
Hope this information helps..
