What Should I Do For Increasing My Height?

Hello Sir,
I'm 17 and my height is 5 feet 2 inches and i am worried about my height because from last 3-4 years my height is not increasing.I am exercising a lot and eating a healthy diet but there is no change.My Dad's height is 5'8 and Mom's height is 5'4.Please suggest me what shall i do?

Hi im dr.hema physiotherapist.

Growth ends between 18 to 20 years in males, before 18 in females.so you have still years to grow.

Your 60% to 8o % height depends on genes.

You can take steps to make sure natural height isn't shortened by environmental.So the things that we can do are
1.rich nutrients that includes more calcium, protein, zinc, vit d. (Dairy products, dhal,pumpkin, peanuts, fresh veggies, fruits).
 2.joining sports team, and being very active.
3.strecthing exercises from neck, , shoulder , trunk and legs has to be slow and gentle.
4.hanging on a bar just for 5 to 10 secs daily(can be avoided in issue)
5.swimming twice or thrice weekly.
