What Should I Do For The Persistent Need To Clear Throat?
Hi, I have a persistent need to clear my throat. This issue has become worse over the last 4 months. (Just to note I take asthma medication but do ensure I gargle after using the preventative medication). I also have tried to cut down on foods that may contribute such as dairy etc.......I would appreciate your thoughts...
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent problem with throat clearing which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for throat swab test and get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation. You should take antiallergic medication such as Levocetrizine. Take proper course of antibiotic along with mucolytic agents. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages. Avoid intake of hot, spicy and oily food.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
