What Should I Do For The Redness And Irritation In Skin Around Lips?
hello Dr... This is preethi from b'lore i'm using cosmelite cream past from 4 months, because i was little dark now am looking fair after using cosmelite cream but now a days means past from 10 days on my lips surrounding can come across red skin, irritation... so please suggest what i should do next?
Cosmelite cream contains Hydroquinone, Tretinoin and Mometasone in it. The steroid in these creams can cause dependence and hence side effects such as skin thinning, hair growth and visible vessels on skin. All of these combinedly gives dark appearance on face. I suggest you to stop the cream immediately and meet a dermatologist to take off the side effects with Kojic acid or glycolic acid creams.
Both the creams are good but shouldn't be used without a dermatologist's prescription. On its prolonged use it can cause thinning skin with red irritated skin or even hair growth.
I suggest you to use proper sun protection. Use a good sunscreen daily for 2-3 times with best sun protection. You can use Azelaic acid or Kojic acid creams as these can be used for a long period without any side effects.
Take care
