What Should I Feed My Child In Case Of Loose Motions?
Hi My Baby is 11 months old, having loose motions problem now. I generally give him Raagi with butter milk/curd daily. Can I give him same now as he is having problem of loose motions?
PS: I am already giving him Sporlac for loose motions cure as Dr suggested
Your child seems to be suffering from a viral gastroenteritis episode. You may take the following measures to help him:
1. Give him oral rehydration therapy such as lemonade, Buttermilk or oral rehydration solution available OTC. Also continue his normal diet including raging, curd. 2. I would recommend you enterogermina sachets twice daily instead of sporolac. It will be more helpful. 3. Start Syp. ZnD or Zinconia for next 2 weeks. It will help him in recovery. 4. In case of fever, you may give him acetaminophen or ibuprofen syrup.
If there is any blood or mucous in stools, start antibiotics. In case of any further questions, you may send me a direct question. I will be happy to help you. Take care
