What Test Is Required To Test Costochondritis?

Hi, I have had Kyphoplasty back surgery for a T7 compression fracture and have had horrible pain since the surgery worse than before. Surgery doctor said she thought it was just muscle spasm but the pain is also underneath both of my breast in the rib cage so bad that I can hardly breath. I ve been to ER and had all the test done including ct scans and mri but no one seems to be able to tell me what it is that is causing the pain. If is is costochondritis what blood test would verify that?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are having severe pain following Kyphoplasty back surgery for a T7 compression fracture. You are advised to take to assist healing of surgical injury.You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen to relieve pain. If pain is not controlled by this strong analgesic such as tramadol can be taken after consulting your doctor. You wanted to which blood test will verify costochondritis.I think there is no such test. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
