Am saritha from Bangalore India . We lost our 11 day old son due to a Inborn error of metabolism 2.6 years ago. We are trying to conceive for the next baby now . What are the tests that could be done during pregnancy to detect any such disorders ?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Inborn errors of metabolism are due to the defect in the various enzymes in the body.
During pregnancy, these enzymes can be assessed by amniocentesis at 15-16 weeks of pregnancy and further management should be done accordingly.
