Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Thank you!! I am a retired RN (5 yrs) and was unfamiliar with Xarelto. I know a 57 yr old male with no prior chronic health problems who developed dvt early- on post op from a partial knee replacement. He suffered a post op fall due to lightheadedness, is receiving hyperbaric rx for a poorly healing wound secondary to the trauma of the fall. He is having ongoing problems with postural hypotension still after being almost 4 wks post op. He is receiving Xarelto.. The online PDR does not list hypotension as a side effect of the drug and a pharmacist denies knowing of a link as well, but the nurse on this site answering my question replied it is a common side effect of this drug. I am confused by this conflict in information.
dear Madam Rivaroxaban does not cause postural hypotension neither does hyperbaric oxygen therapy his symptoms may be of a different origin is he a long standing diabetic does he have any other co morbid conditions, please share the information so that we can assist you in arriving at a diagnosis
