What To Do For Diarrhea In Child?

hello doc.,

my daughter is 6.5months old she was having loose stools from last 15 days, she got her occult blood test positive (in stool) and doctor has prescribed her oflomac syrup. is it safe to give this medication and waht may be the reason for blood in stools.

Hi... By what you quote it seems that your child has dysentry. In children it can develop due to bottle feeding or due to child sucking his own fingers. You should continue oflox, this is safe to use in children.
