Hi,
Some amount of pain is common during the postoperative period and is expected to subside within around 2 weeks usually.
As you are having
severe pain even 8 weeks after cesarean section, better to get examined to find out the possible cause of the problem.
-By clinical examination, any possible pelvic infections can be identified
-
Ultrasound helps in ruling out any possible postoperative infection, collection in pelvis, adhesions of
uterus to surrounding structures forming tuboovarian masses etc.
Additional investigations like urine routine and microscopy, complete blood picture,
ESR and
C reactive protein helps to rule out the possibility of infection.
With this workup the possible cause of the problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
