What To Do For Muscle Spasm In The Bottom Of My Foot?

I was in a recent car accident and I remember when I got out of the car, I slipped but a firefighter caught my arm and I didn t fall to the ground. I keep thinking I had a muscle spasm in the bottom of my foot, which I am more prone to get. A week later the bottom of my heel still hurts with certain pressure on it. ????

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It is quite possible that you had an ankle sprain during being pulled out from the car. Use pain killers, ankle brace and local heat for about 2-3 weeks. If it does not heal by then MRI will be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopaedic Surgeon
