What To Do For Several Patches On Torso And Under Upper Arm?
My daughter broke out today. Red skin, white bumps on her arms and shoulder. It cleared up but came back and then spread to her neck and face. That also cleared up. Now she has several patches of this on her torso and the largest patch is on the underside of her upper arm. She is afebrile. She did have a low grade fever over the weekend. Could it be related? I have given her some children's benadryl and applied some anti-itch cream.
I am so sorry to hear about rash. From the information you have provided, this would most likely represent an allergic reaction. The main task is in identifying what the possible causative agent is and eliminating it fro future exposure so as to prevent recurrence. Take a look at all what transpired during the day paying specific attention to any new additions that the child is not used to in the past. For now, the children benadryl and the anti itch cream would be very helpful. Should anything more worrisome arise, please visit the hospital for further investigation and treatment.
I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for using our services and please feel free to ask for clarifications if need be. I wish your daughter a speedy recovery and the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
