i don't think i'm tongue tied. i have fine mobility of my tongue and it's not heart shaped but when i french kiss (i've never before) i wonder if i will be limited because although my frenulum has never caused me speech problems or anything like that, it is a little short and wide not nearly as long as most people's. will i not be able to french kiss as well? like deep throat?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms it seems that you have a case of Partial Ankyloglossia or Partial tongue tie in which there is no difficulty in normal tongue movement but when over extension of the tongue is done the movement becomes restricted..
Nothing to worry, consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and if required he/she can refer you to Oral Surgeon and a small surgical procedure known as FRENULECTOMY can be performed under local anaesthesia and the tongue can be freed with free in the extreme movements too..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
