What To Do For The Lump Behind The Knee Along With Pain?
Please help. Hit from behind the knee several times by a steer. Now I have fluid built up under and around my kneecap. Had an MRI today and x-ray. Shows fluid but, no diagnosis until next week. Very painful until then. What is the treatment? Thank you
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you have got effusion of your knee. Final diagnosis has not been given. I think best possible treatment is decompression and biopsy by open or arthroscopic method. If it is not possible urgently then aspiration by wide bore neddle is advisable. If even this is not possible then keep limb elevated on pillow. Active toe movements are of help. Analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief is helpful. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
