What To Do For The Red Raised Bumps In My Forehead?

Hi, I was recently in the Carribean and had a lot of sun exposure. I used sunscreen constantly and was in the shade most days, but still had a lot of sun exposure. Anyway, about two days after returning home, I developed a lot of red raised bumps on my forehead only. They don t really itch and they do not appear to be fluid filled blisters. Any ideas on what this could be and how to treat it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to sunburn. I suggest to take frequent cool baths or showers to help relieve the pain. Use a moisturizer that contains aloe vera or soy to help soothe sunburned skin. Consider taking aspirin or ibuprofen to help reduce any swelling, redness and discomfort. Drink extra water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
