What To Do For The Soreness And Sensitivity Of The Penis Due To Infected Ingrown Hair?

Hello doctor, I am a little embarrassed by this but here is my situation. A few months back I got an infected ingrown hair on the left side of my penis just below the head I treated it with peroxide and Neosporin and it went away fairly quickly. It was a really bad ingrown hair that caused slight pain and almost seemed like a blister. This was a couple months ago, still to this day that area of the shaft is very sensitive and sometimes even sore. I am afraid that it may be damaged still or maybe something else is wrong. It has gotten less sore as time goes by but the sensitivity remains. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
