Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr. Kalpesh Kavar, MD.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
Prazocin and
Terazosin both are having same actions - both are all alpha
adrenergic receptor blockers. Both drugs are useful in the treatment of
high blood pressure and in Males for symptomatic treatment of benign
prostatic hyperplasia (
BPH).
The most important difference amongst both drugs is their duration of action.
Terazocin is having longer duration of action which is greater than 18 hours and needs to be taken only once daily and will be controlling BP entire day.
So I would say there is no need to worry if You will be having Terazosin, your blood pressure will be under control as it was with
Prazosin.
I hope this helps you. I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided.
