What To Do If A 96 Yr Old Has Terrible Itching In Legs, Arms After Taking Nitrofuritain For Prevention Of UTI?
My 96 yr old mom has been on a one a day dose of nitrofuritain for prevention of UTI because she has a catheter for two years. She has terrible itching on legs, arms. I believe she is having a reaction to the nitro. Pls give me your thoughts. Thank you

Nitrofuradentoin is given in urinary tract infection. It can be allergic to patient. Only way is to discontnue the drug.
