What To Do If Brown Patches Are Peeling Of Armpits And What Could They Be?

Hi I recently have been having a problem with my armpits. Over the past couple months I have been noticing what appeared like brown build up coming off my arm pits but thought nothing of it as I believed it to be a build up of deodorant but today I looked at them after my shower and I noticed that about 80% of the first layer of my armpit skin had peeled off. What should I do?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be erythrasma..a bacterial infection caused by cornybacterium. Consult the Dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to take tab Azithromycin 500 mg daily for two weeks and apply metronidazole gel on the patch. Avoid soap contact and keep the area dry.

Hope this helps.
