What To Do If Child Has Diarrhoea, Coughing, Runny Nose, Loss Of Apetite Despite Taking Antibiotics?

My 16 month old grandson came home from Creche 3 weeks ago with very bad diarrhea and a bad cough, mainly in the evenings and at night. With this he had constant high temperatures. In the second week he started vomiting and we took him to hospital. The doctor said that he was not dehydrated and gave him something for nausea and said that the diarrhea would work itself out. His vomiting has stopped but the diarrhea continues and his coughing is worse together with runny nose. He has no appetite. Took him to family doctor and was diagnosed with bronchitis. There has been no change in his condition despite him taking the antibiotics and the medicine prescribed over the last four days.
