Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What To Do If Child Has Diarrhoea, Coughing, Runny Nose, Loss Of Apetite Despite Taking Antibiotics?
My 16 month old grandson came home from Creche 3 weeks ago with very bad diarrhea and a bad cough, mainly in the evenings and at night. With this he had constant high temperatures. In the second week he started vomiting and we took him to hospital. The doctor said that he was not dehydrated and gave him something for nausea and said that the diarrhea would work itself out. His vomiting has stopped but the diarrhea continues and his coughing is worse together with runny nose. He has no appetite. Took him to family doctor and was diagnosed with bronchitis. There has been no change in his condition despite him taking the antibiotics and the medicine prescribed over the last four days.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern looking to the age of child it is better to stop all the medicine if ever giving right now all the symptoms will be fine on its own without any medicine these are the self limiting symptoms hope this information helps you have nice day.
