What To Do If Experiencing Rapid Heart Beat In Resting State?
Hello, My mum is suffering from a racing hearth beat at resting state. It has always been close to the upper border for an adult (100bpm) but after she recently has a severe bronchitis it went up to 140 bpm. She is 47 years old, 47kg and 150cm high. Can you please advise what she should do? Your help is much appreciated!
hello, I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM. please consider following points. 1.If she has long standing High resting heart rate please get her Thyroid functions testes.Hyperthyroidism can lead to such high heart rate. 2.it is possible that she has been given bronchodilator for her bronchitis which may also lead to increase in heart rate. 3.Infection itself can lead to fever and increase heart rate. My best wishes Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
