What To Do If Having Dull Headache And Pain Under Breast After Falling Down Stairs?

I fell down the stairs last night. I hit the left side of the head. I vomited 4 times afterward and I vomited once today. I also hit my chest and I am experiencing pain under my left breast with difficulty taking deep breaths.I don t feel short of breath it is just an effort to take deep breaths. I went to work today. No confusion or difficulty concentrating just a dull ache on the side of my head. I do not think that I need to go to the emergency room as I don t seem to be getting any worse.

Hi,

First of all, you should be put under a medical supervision for 24 hours then you should do an CT brain and a plain X-Ray chest. If you did not have bleeding or bone fracture you could take some pain killer such as paracetamol 500 mg and a local pain killer such as Capsaicin 0.025% cream.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mustafa, Neurologist
