What To Do If Tattoo Is Infected And Causes Mild Temperature And Sickness In Stomach?
Hi, 10 days ago I got a tattoo. It is defiantly infected, but I am not sure if I should continue my care at home- which I followed the aftercare to a T or go over to the ER as suggested by friends, and a PA. It has several grey puss like craters, and corn flake looking scabs. Still swollen, quite a bit of red streaking and blotches. It does hurt- as some tattoos do. There is no foul odor. I woke up this morning with a mild temp, and VERY sick to my stomach. I have no insurance. So I don t know if I am convincing myself it is fine, and healing- or if it truly is better safe than sorry .
You have developed irritant contact dermatitis due to tattoo. You consult the dermatologist immediately without wasting time. After thorough examination and investigations,he might give proper treatment to improve the condition, otherwise secondary bacterial infection may develop to worsen the condition further.
Hope this helps.
