Absence of heart baby's heartbeats in the ultrasonography is not a good sign. It suggests either there is no pregnancy, or there is gestational sac without embryonic pole in it (blighted ovum) or non-living baby.
If the gestational sac also is not seen, it means there is no pregnancy. In such cases, you should just wait for menses or take some hormonal medicines to induce the menses.
If gestational sac is seen without embryo and its edges are corrugated, it suggests blighted ovum. Usually it gets aborted spontaneously or may require termination.
If the baby is non-living, termination of pregnancy is required.
Your obstetrician will confirm the diagnosis with proper tests and advice you accordingly.
