Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Tretinoin has the property of collagen re-modelling and thus may improve the cosmetic appearance of a scar. It is available as 0.025% as well as 0.05% cream and can be applied once daily at night.

Tretinoin needs to be applied for months to have noticeable improvement.

Surgery however remains the most effective option. Fractional CO2 Laser, Microneedling, Dermabrasion etc being some of the most commonly practiced options to improve the cosmetic appearance of a scar.
