What To Do To Have A Normal Delivery?

Hello doctor I am 35 years old and had my 22 weeks USG. The reports says that placenta is posterior and covering the OS. I am working and basically my work is mainly on the laptop. What precautions should i take so that i can have a normal delivery. My doc has advised rest and avoid heavy lifting. Can i go to office and i travel by bus or car.

Hello,
I can understand your concern for your baby very well and i will try to solve your problem.

I would like to tell you that you are 22 weeks pregnant and your USG report is normal (posterior placenta is normal), you need not to worry much about it.

You can do your routine work, but avoid any kind of strenuous physical exertion. You should avoid long traveling by road, in stead you can use train for travelling. Avoid travelling in the last trimester, but you can go to office, if its not that much away from your home.

Otherwise you can have plenty of water, take healthy and nutritious food, avoid oily and junk food, walk for half an hour daily, avoid heavy lifting, take sufficient rest, check your BP regularly, do regular follow up with your gynec. You will deliver normally if no complications will arise.

Hope this answers your question and let me know if you have any further relevant follow up questions, i will be happy to answer you.
