What Treatment Should Ne Given For Fibroid Mass In Uterus?
I'm a 27 yr old female that in October 2013 needed to have my left ovary and tube removed due to a cyst filled with blood. A month later I had a ultrasound done that showed I have a 8 mm fibroid mass to the right of the midline of my uterus. It is causing me severe pain. Can you give me some information on this that I can understand?

What Treatment Should Ne Given For Fibroid Mass In Uterus?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic The uterus is made up of different layers: (1) the endometrium- this is the inner lining or layer (2) the myometrium- this is the muscle aspect of the uterus (3)the perimetrium- this is on the outside Fibroids are growths from the muscle aspect of the uterus- the myometrium. They may occur singly or be a lot in number. They are not cancerous. They can be associated with pain, heavy periods with clots and flooding. If it is causing you discomfort, you and your doctor may op to remove it. I hope this helps
