sir,my uncle is alcoholic.now he was noticed and diagonised with the disease aneamia.his heamoglobin content is 2.8.please suggest the right treatment.plz soon sir.itz emergency

2units of pack volume immediately.followed by iron suppliment.
investigate for oesophagial varices and haemorhoids.upper G.I.endoscopy ,proctoscopy to rule out bleeding varices.since pt. is alcoholic absorption is also disturbed.In alcoholics portal hypertension gives rise to bleeding varises and haemoroids if pressure exeeds 12 mm vessel bleeds so in this case anaemia is secondary to alcoholism.pt.is to be hospitalised and investigated in detail.

CONSULT A GASTROENTEROLOGIST TO FIND SOURCE OF BLOOD LOSS REPLACE BLOOD DO GET BLEEDING PROFILE CHECKED AS IT IS ALTERED IN PT WITH ALD HE SHOLD BE HOSPITALISED AND INVESTIGATED FURTHER

Hi i think you need to consult an internal medicine specialist or atleast a general physician and get your uncle admitted in a hospital for blood transfusion urgently.His haemoglobin of 2.8 is serious and needs to be dealth with under expert care. take care
