What Treatment Do You Suggest For Pain In Humerus Due To An Injury ?
I hit my humerous very hard on a doorframe earlier today. I felt pain from my fingers to my shoulder about an hour afterwards. I still am in severe pain from my elbow to my shoulder. I cannot bend my arm past 90º, put any weight on it, or pull or push with it without pain. Could it be fractured? Should I get an X Ray?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. Here are some general treatment measures which you can follow: 1) Provide complete rest and avoid overhead activities. 2) Apply cold compresses and take some anti inflammatory pain killer after consulting your doctor. If the symptoms are severe then after confirming the diagnosis by MRI, you may need steroid injections or surgical arthroscopic technique I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
