What Treatment Is Recommended For Bruise Across Stomach Due To Accident ?
I got hit in the stomach with a full 12 oz water bottle which was thrown from about 20 ft away. I woke up next day feeling like I pulled a muscle or something in the stomach and didn't really think about it until I took a bath and noticed a big bruise across my stomach, right where the belly button is. Should I wait a few days and if discomfort doesn't go away then go see a doctor? Don't like going unnecessarily.

it is probably an abdominal contusion that usually occurs when you get blunt trauma
this may involve all the abdominal organs
incuding major orans like spllen and liver
i would suggest you get at least an ultrasound of the abdomen
the mri of abdomen is a better tool, but much more expensive
as for the bruise
thats not much important
it will resolve on its own
what we need to be concerned about is internal organs
