What Treatment Is Suggested For Bump On Head Of Crus Helix And Lobe Of The Ear?
My 5 year old son has a bump that appears to have a head on his crus helix. It is tender to the touch and seems to maybe have something in it. I have noticed he has other little bumps around the lobe of his ear. Those do not however bother him like the big one on his helix. What could this be?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history about your son, developing multiple bumps on the ear lobe and the head of the crus helix is indicative of the following: -Insect bite - Erysipelas. Once of them has gone into infection and has increased into a larger one and hence giving the pain and tenderness.
I would advise the following: - Clean the area with liquid povidone so that hte area becomes sterile to avoid secondary infection. Oral antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines to tide over the problem. He shall be fine soon.
