What Treatment Is Suggested For Fluids In The Ear?
I was diagnosed two weeks ago with fluid in my ear. I was given a shot of antibiotics and steroids and was also given 10 days of oral antibiotics. The pain was subsiding but know the pain is coming back again. I have had a small knot in the crease being that same ear that is a bit painful when touched. It causes headaches and eye pain plus neck pain. It seams as if the knot gets smaller then bigger then smaller again.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history of fluid in ear being under treatment with a shot of an antibiotic and steroids. The recurrence of the pain indicates that there is recurrence of the condition most probably due to infection in the throat and the Eustachian tubes.
I would advise you the following: - Get an ENT check up for clinical evaluation, investigations and treatment as per the cause found. - Do not blow nose. - Avoid extreme changes in temperature zones. - Keep away from people suffering from flu or so. Nasal decongestant drops followed by steam inhalation.
